Works great instantly! Perfect fit for HP 17”
Perfect fit, work instantly. Hold an average 30-40mins of video. Not a heavy duty battery like the OG but it works great.

Perfect fit for older HP Envy 15" Laptop.
Perfect fit for an older HP Envy 15" Laptop. It arrived with about a 30% charge so I could install it right out of the box. It snapped into place and was immediately recognized by the computer and calibrated easily. It charges quickly and while it seems to deplete slightly faster than an OEM battery, it is significantly less expensive and it certainly works better than the one it replaced. If you have an older HP computer you may not be able to find a OEM battery so this is a great substitute. I've only been using it a couple of weeks so I can't comment on longevity but so far, it has worked flawlessly and I would recommend.

Perfect fit HP 17" ENVY
Arrived next morning. Easy install on 8 y.o. 17" HP ENVY. Was 85% charged and only took half hour to fully charge. Must now let battery completely drain and recharge to get optimum performance. Makes my laptop seem like a brand new one.

Fits perfect. Not too expenive, Decent longevity
This is the 3rd aftermarket battery I've bought for this particular laptop. I'm still using an 'older' HP laptop, but it works for what I do ..and has an internal DVD Burner! LOL. The original HP battery lasted ~4-5yrs as I recall. Unfortunately HP doesn't have a battery manager on my computer, so it pretty much sits at 100% full charge most of the time when it's plugged in (which they say shortens battery life). The first aftermarket battery (exact same V104 battery as this), I bought from an auction site, and lasted about 2-1/2yrs. Some of that might have been my fault as the laptop would sit empty a few times when I was on vacation. Now I always remove the battery if I go on vacation, etc.The 2nd aftermarket V104 battery (same Amazon seller as my most recent replacement battery), failed real quick like in 4-5 months. That was odd. It just died, nothing that happened out of the ordinary...I just one day 'died'. I didn't try to warranty it out. But in all honestly I completely forgot to do any 'conditioning' when I installed it. I'm thinking something internal gave up.The last (3rd) V104 aftermarket battery, I bought from this seller, lasted 3 1/2 yrs which I'll call 'decent'. Recently it just up and 'died' ...no slow death or gradual weakening capacity -- just died a week ago. That battery I DID follow the 'conditioning' instructions included with the battery to a 'T'. Even though some say it's not needed with modern LI-ION cells...I did it anyway. Who knows what battery chemistry they're using. I was a lot more careful in the last couple yrs not to let the previous battery run down completely and charge properly, although ..life does happen and admittedly there were a couple instances where the laptop did run out of juice due to inattention. I'd like to get 4 yrs+ out of a battery, but 3 1/2 I'll take.I'm currently "conditioning" this new battery which I received promptly from Amazon. Conditioning per the included instructions. Weather it's truly needed or not, IDK. Hopefully (fingers crossed) ....maybe I "Can" eek 4 yrs of life out of this battery. I might not even have this laptop in 4yrs. BTW the fit and finish compared to the original HP battery for a older HP Envy laptop is spot-on-perfect from what I can tell. Hope it helps. If your computer has a battery charge limiter where you can set a max charge (say 80%) you might get even more life than I did. Fortunately the price of these is reasonable.Cheers!

Useful for older laptops
This battery is the type used in a few HP lines of laptops that are now between 5 to 10 years old. This brand of battery provided up to an 1 hour 45 minutes or so for a charge. Your performance will be different, depending on your power settings. Be sure to read the tiny user guide for preparing the battery for use. The guide is printed on a slip of paper roughly 1 inch by 2.5 inches with English on one side and Chinese on the other. The size of this guide is tiny enough to be inadvertently discarded, but it contains some important information about the battery's first use. Other than that, I found this to be a useful replacement for my old battery.

Terrible 2X
Purchased this to replace the battery on an HP Laptop. When I received it, the box tape was sliced open and the batter package was previously opened and taped back up. Clearly it was a returned item when I bought new. Thought anyway, let me give it a try. Installed it and it showed 100% charge. Used it for like 20 minutes and a screen came up with 14 minutes left... Went to go get the cord and it had already shut down.Figured, let me charge it again to 100% and see what happens. Same thing. Called Amazon and they sent a new battery. This one was brand new and unopened. Well let me report to all, this battery has no long life. Works for about an hour on just usinga browser and it is cooked. Terrible battery life.
