I bought this device to replace a KDLinks media player, which was so easy to use. This is a lot more complicated (as are all Android devices, with a million settings/apps to wade through). I primarily wanted to use it to access my external USB drives with all the movies and TV shows I ripped from my large DVD collection. It works for the most part, and Netflix and Youtube work well. However, I am getting a cryptic error message when trying to access movie files (AVIs) in a subfolder on my external USB drive. Most movies play fine from either the FileBrowser or the MoviePlayer, but when I try to load some files, a popup says "media scanning, please try again a few time later". I have of course waited many many hours, but still get this message. I have also noticed that some files I was able to open before are now giving me this same error message. I would like to rate this device 4 or 5 stars, but this problem loading some media files when others work ok is not satisfactory. I wish there was a decent user manual for this device, but nothing helpful came with the product.EDIT After having used this device for a couple weeks, I (and my family) have gotten more and more frustrated. The streaming aspects are fine, so if you want to stream only, this device work. However, I have digitized my extensive DVD collection and saved most of the files as AVIs on external USB drives. This device chokes on over 90% of my AVI files. I have tried about 10 different media players, including KODI, and none of them can play the AVI files. Therefore, I assume the problem is with the hardware or decoding chip in this device.I instead bought a KDLINKS HD800 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0777KC34S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) from here on Amazon, received it today, and ALREADY I am very pleased with that product. It can play all my AVI files on my external drive, and that is all I needed. (Plus, the media player just works so much easier with the small remote control.)

I bought this unit to replace my 2gb box. This unit contastly hangs and becomes non responsive when using my IPTV applications and VOD apps. There is a concern where the unit would power up on it's on while I'm watching OTA TV or playing a video game on my PS4. My other reason for writing this review is I seen the seller state that Netflix will run 4K, Netflix is not able to show videos on 4k on this box because it do not support Google Widevine Level 1 DRM. You can verify by going into the settings. Besides the Andiod OS on this unit is not Android TV. I tried living with this unit but it's still in the return window. Spend a little more on a different unit.

The box worked OK but we found it just simply too difficult to use reliably. This version won't work with Hulu and so it was basically useless for us. Other apps either didn't work or we were unable to find out how to make them work, very frustrating. The user's manual is worthless and the support website doesn't appear to function. Look elsewhere for an Android box.

So far so good only time will determine longevity.Was able to install Kodi without a hitch and I advise to everyone to use a VPN service.As far as performance it is guick and smooth a large improvement over my older one.I have a older plasma tv so no 4k to test. It arrived in 2 days so quick shipping.All in all I definitely can recommend this box alot of bang for your buck.4gig ram 32 gig storage.The first Android box I have purchased that actually has a name on it.

Tried making it work but was unable to do it . Remote gives way or the system restarts by itself. Suggest other products here

Unfortunately for me the unit I received had non fictional Bluetooth. Which limited the remotes and keyboards I could use without having to buy dongle. The unit was promptly returned. This makes me question the quality control that goes into manufacturing this product thus I would not recommend it.
