Fits perfectly and restores catalytic converter function
This cat assembly fit perfectly and solved the problem with the "check engine" light. I had a cat efficiency code and the scan data showed the downstream O2 sensor fluctuating too much. This cat is certified for California emissions so it probably works better than 49 state units so after replacement the downstream sensor was fairly steady around 0.69 volts. The only "problem" was that the hanger had holes for bolts where the original had threaded studs so you couldn't use the original nuts but had to obtain 2 nuts & bolts. Minor issue.

Great option for replacement of CA CARB Compliant Cats.
After a failed smog and troubleshooting - finding out my catalytic converters were bad, I'd been led to believe the only option was to have OEM units installed at over $1500.00. Keep in mind, in CA, you can't just throw on any old catalytic converter. It has to be either OEM, or an approved converter through Executive Order with the Air Resources Board. That limits cheap direct bolt up options.I did some research and found the CA Air Resources Board website which listed vehicle specific CA compliant and accepted catalytic converters, and started researching pricing and quality on the few direct replacement converters available for my 2002 Tacoma 3.4L.Found these on amazon. I replaced both converters on my 2002 Tacoma 3.4L. For about $500 in parts for both converters (front and rear) and gaskets, and about an hour under the truck, I had the new cats in, took it for a drive to re-set the catalytic monitor (finally!), and passed smog the next day. These bolted right up (used new OEM gaskets from Toyota), and had zero issues or leaks with the installation. Not sure how long they'll last, but plans are to sell the truck later in the year....and at any rate, I could replace them several times over at this price, along with a little wrench time, for what the OEM converters cost. No way was I going to spend over $1500 to replace converters on a 15 year old truck with 250k miles. These work, and bolted right in.Recommend picking up the Denso Oxygen and Air Fuel Ratio sensors while you're at it. Much easier to get to and install when the cats are off the vehicle. I'd already replaced them previously as part of my troubleshooting (replace cheaper parts first), but they were much easier to swap out with the cats off of the vehicle.Unbolt the 3 bolts for the front cat at the header, the two for the back cat where it connects to the tailpipe, and pull the whole two-cat assembly out. If your not in the rust belt and your flange bolts aren't rusted and seized, the whole process shouldn't take more than an hour.

The most economical CA compliant drop in CAT.
Fit my 2002 Toyota Doublecab Tacoma 3.4 V6, reset the EFI computer and by the end of the day all IM monitors were in ready state and passed California Emission with no issues. As others has stated, you have to reuse the hanger from the OE cat and get 2 new metric bolts to match the existing nuts. 15-20min job, I did soak the all the bolts with solvent overnight.

Perfect for CA compliance
Perfect fit for 2001 Tacoma 5ZVFE. Be sure to go on Walker's website and look up the exhaust system for your car so you get the right gaskets.
