Aventik Fly Line Single Hand Spey Line Floating Ultra Low Stretch Loading Zoom Welded Loops Line ID 90-100ft

I ordered this line in 3 and 5 weights. first off a bit more info on what exactly this line is... this line has a Long WF head, it's divided into two sections the front is a long fine taper that's about one weight class low, the second section is a thicker portion about one weight class high... the combination works out to be about the right weight in the first 30 foot to match the standards for the type you purchase.on my 9 foot 5 Wt single hand rod, it's a bit harder to cast on short casts, but easier to cast on long casts than the basic WF line types. compared to SA aircell line, and an older cortland line. on my 7 foot 2/3 Wt single hand rod it cast just like a standard 2 Wt line over short to med casts, but the extra weight at the back helped cast longer than the normal taper WF line. this line acts just like the long DT lines i've used, but will cast further with less effort.If your looking to cast large flies i'd go a size up than normal.on both weight lines the lighter front turned over normal sized flies without a problem, at any distance, but streamers and the like are a bit more difficult to cast over short distances, i found i needed a shorter or stiffer leader to get them to roll out the line properly.overall this is a nice line that works well for longer casting, or laying down lighter flies softly. I'll but this type again even if i won't use it for all the types of fishing i do.

I have been using the line to fish for Halibut in the Long Beach surf using a 10 Ft. poly leader and 5-foot of 10 Lb. tippet. It casts well and with a weighted fly’s. The line has a good casting tapper for salt water. It lays down well in the striping basket, and that stops a lot of tangles.

Super easy to cast, shoots better than any other chinese line I have and also the smoothest. No problem snatching the entire weighted area up and shooting 15 more feet. This line makes casting in no wind nearly effortless and accuracy benefits too. I would love this line in higher weights for my heavier rods, it would be on all of them. Very limber today @ 54 degrees, hopefully not too limber when the 90's roll in.

There is no difference between the head and running line. The entire thing floats.The line casts like any other cheap line you'll find on bargain combo kits.THIS LINE ALSO CAME TANGLED ON THE SPOOL. IT TOOK ME AT LEAST A HALF HOUR TO UNTANGLE!!!!!

This is a great product. With one false cast or roll casting shoots line out like a champ. I'm using it on a 6/7 rod that is only 7.6 ft so I can only imagine how it will cast on a 9ft rod

This line casts well as an overhand line, but found it hard to get line stick in casting as a single hand spey.
