Lovely item inside but remember the case is NOT leather, even though the seller tried to convice me it was, seller comms were very good when I challenged it.For the money its fine the sundial is great as a bit of fun the instructions are reasonably good although its more a fun ornament I feel rather than a useable item. Bought as a Christmas present for a Steam Punk mad relation which I am sure they will love.Only knocked a star off as it should be described as Faux Leather in my opinion and no amount of "polishing" will make it look like real leather. It could be the seller has had the wool pulled over their eyes by their supplier and the item they saw first to stock is not the item they actually got to sell, I've seen that happen before now.

Nice, sturdy little, early "sat-nav" - great present at a reasonable cost - still not convinced about the case though... - a cloth pouch may have been a better option? Other than that, a thoroughly good, chunky piece, ta.

This is quite a hefty thing , very solid but it's lovely . Has a good antique look to it and the sundial is very accurate! Son is made up with it and everyone else thought it was almost too good for a kid's christmas present - but he's pirate mad!
