Soooo glad this came with instructions! The thread is nice enough and the picture is labeled with Arabic numerals that correspond to the numerals on the thread board so all is well. (But it’s still hilarious packaging!)Oh, and I’m not sure how well you can see it, but one of the needles has a broken eye.If you do buy this for a novice, make sure you also buy them a book on embroidery.

For the price, I would buy again. I was able to obtain english directions online. However, the needles (3) were ALL too small for the silk thread. We tried and tried, over an hour. Even tried again the next day hoping my patience had restored. So I just got a larger eyed needle and boom. I would rather spend this price on a full-workable kit.

Great starter kit. However, if you're a lil clueless like me, it takes a second to understand the instructions (it is more of a color coded visual guide and i prefer written instructions). But great product for the price and good to gift.

This is a wonderful project for beginners. Beautiful colors with plenty of thread. This is an easy pattern to follow.

My daughter just started doing embroidery and she liked this design. A little expensive compared to other kits

Hard to do , but worth the effort

I read that this is a cross stitch kit. It is not. It is straight stitch (satin stitch). It’s a pretty finished product but not as described and hardly a one day project,

The product came with all intented materials to complete the embroidery kit. However, the instructions are not written in english, therefore they are hard to understand and interpret how to use based on a limited amount of pictures. This is a cute kit, but shouldn't be advertised for begginners.
