Does make the proper cut out, but hard to figure out where to place it on the piece of flooring you are cutting. No side to side guidelines. It was either too far right or too far left.

Great value and innovative tool.

Bought this for a tile project on our fireplace to work around some pretty standard moldings and trims. This is a poorly made, 3D printed piece of garbage. There are bits of rough plastic that catch on one another that impede the device from properly taking an accurate contour. In addition to this, the segmented pieces are too large to accurately fit into any nooks and crannies to give you an accurate contour, even if you managed to sand down the rough plastic bits that cause the segments to catch on one another. Useless. Waited too long to return it and now I'm stuck with it. Waste of money.
